The Grand Cafe Khotinksy is situated In the old Turbine hall of the old energy hall in Dordrecht built in 1930. The concept was to breath new life, energy in the old factory.

The interior was inspired by the movie "Modern Times" (1934) directed by Charlie Chaplin.
